Lameness
Lameness evaluations make up a large part of our daily practice. Russell Equine offers expertise, skill and resources to help owners and their horses perform at maximum capacity. Our lameness diagnostics include: diagnostic nerve blocks, digital radiography, and ultrasound. We offer treatments including therapeutic joint injections (including the sacro-iliac joint), farrier consultations, controlled exercise regiments, surgical referrals, cryosurgery etc. Our objective is to rehabilitate your horse in the safest and most cost effective way possible and to maximize your horse’s performance.

Pre-purchase Examinations
Very few horses are 100 percent sound. By obtaining a pre-purchase examination the purchaser is provided with valuable information that will aid them in making the decision of whether the horse will meet their needs. We offer different levels of pre-purchase exams, which allow us to customize our services to meet the buyer’s needs and the intended use for the horse. A simple exam may include a thorough physical exam, with flexion tests or palpation of a pregnant mare. An extensive exam may include blood tests, ultrasound, digital radiographs and upper respiratory endoscopy.
