Maintaining your horse's health through preventive health care has many benefits, including lower overall veterinary costs and a longer, more active life. Basic preventive care includes balanced nutrition, de-worming, vaccinations, yearly physical examinations and yearly dentistry. To aide our clients in instituting an effect preventative health program, Russell Equine has established a number of health management packages. Each package is designed to meet the specific needs of the horse as determined by its lifestyle.

Equine Athlete:

For the active, traveling performance horse. This plan takes into consideration that your horse will be away from home often, and will have a higher exposure to horses outside your herd. Click here to find out more

 

Performance Horse:

Dentistry

We offer both power-assisted dentistry with the Powerfloat system, and dentistry with hand tools. These tools allow our veterinarians to perform all aspects of equine dentistry- including routine correction of sharp enamel points, correction of arcade abnormalities (including “waves” and “hooks”) and placement of bit seats.  Wolf teeth, molar and cap extractions are also available.
